Anna Sharpe LL.M, ACIS is a respected data, technology and intellectual property lawyer.
Anna established Sharpe Ivo in 2009 following more than 15 years as a partner in the Australian national law firm of Clayton Utz. She has consistently appeared in the Australian Financial Review’s lists of the Best Lawyers of Australia and in Doyle’s Guide Leading Intellectual Property Lawyers and International IT Contracts Law Firm of the Year in Australia rankings. Drawing on over thirty years experience assisting leading Australian and international public and private sector businesses, Anna’s practice guides innovative relationships through an internet-mediated regulatory landscape, advising on rapidly transforming concerns across e-commerce, privacy, data science law, copyright and trademarks.
Anna is co-author of one of Australia’s leading data and technology law texts, Thomson Reuters’ Computer Contracts Principles & Precedents which has been in continuous publication for over 30 years. She is Chair of the Queensland Law Society’s Privacy & Data Law Committee and is the trademark law course coordinator & lecturer for the World Intellectual Property Organisation-Queensland University of Technology Masters of Intellectual Property Law program. She is the Queensland Chair of the Law Council of Australia’s Intellectual Property committee. In addition to her Master of Laws degree, Anna has postgraduate qualifications in corporate governance through Chartered Secretaries Australia. Anna has been a Board member of various entities, including the Queensland Music Festival, the former National Procurement Board, and the Commonwealth Government’s Plant Breeder’s Rights Advisory Committee.
